Lyrics

Playfully dancing down a path made of palm leaves
Sings Aloha Ke Akua wearing his soul on his sleeves,
Juggling three shells like mirrors as all gather close around him,

"As sure as the sun rises in the morning,
Aloha's the word, Aloha's the story,
Aloha's the glory in Me."

The crowds cheer, unsure if he’s a holy man or fool,
But the priests protest he doesn’t seem to be bound by their rule,
So he jests their attentions as he sings to the children,

"As sure as the sun rises in the morning,
Aloha's the word, Aloha's the story,
Aloha's the glory in Me."

Aloha Ke Akua (x2)

He carries on but the high priest says, "That’s enough for me."
So they break his body and they hang it from a tree,
And the crowds cry up to him to save himself as he sighs,

"As sure as the sun rises in the morning,
Aloha's the word, Aloha's the story,
Aloha's the glory in Me."

Aloha Ke Akua (x2)

And a child finds the three shells that have been left on the ground.
He bows before the rising sun and tosses them around,
And the circles form a halo over his head as he sings,

"As sure as the sun rises in the morning,
Aloha's the word, Aloha's the story,
Aloha's the glory in Me."
